Clara’s expression shifted from rage to uncertainty.
Then, she smiled. She said to the crowd warmly, “Everyone, the charity auction is about to begin! Please take your seats.”
The art exhibition had a very important auction session. It was the charity auction that Clara had mentioned.
Clara organized the event and called for other famous artists to contribute their works to the event. This attracted a lot of attention from the media.
Everyone praised Clara online for being beautiful inside and out. It had added to her acclaim.
However, Dustin knew very well just how kind Clara really was.
She did not actually care about people who were in difficult situations. All she cared about was her reputation.
“A month ago, there was an earthquake in East Lovellia. Countless people were displaced. I feel like crying every time I read the news about it…” Clara said mournfully as she stood on the stage in the hall.
“I’m just one person, but I would like to do what I can to help! That’s why I organized this art exhibition. I traveled all over and managed to get thirteen artists to contribute their works. I pledge to donate forty percent of the proceeds from this charity auction to East Lovellia!
“I have also contributed five of my works. If anyone is interested in them and wins them in the auction, all the proceeds from those pieces will go to the reconstruction efforts in East Lovellia!”
Clara’s announcement won her thunderous applause.
Everyone praised her kindness and selfless nature.
Dustin could not help but scoff when he heard that.
Clara and kind? That was a good joke!
“I hereby announce the opening of the charity auction!” Clara said loudly.
Subsequently, the works of famous artists were presented onstage. They were all sold at decent prices.
There were a number of rich and famous people in attendance, and they were all happy to bid for the pieces. After all, they would not only be winning famed artworks but also doing some good. Who would not make that choice?
Dustin silently watched the charity auction proceed. He did not make any move.
Meanwhile, Michael spent the entire time glaring daggers at him.
He resented Dustin and swore to take his revenge. Yet, Dustin did not even glance at him, which angered him even further.

“The next item on the block is a landscape I painted. The opening bid is 10,000 dollars. I hope you will all bid for this piece,” Clara said with a smile.
After she said that, a flood of bids started coming in from below the stage.
There were too many people who were ready to support Clara.
Soon, the bidding price had skyrocketed to over a million dollars.
Among the most earnest bidders were Michael and his friends.
“Eight million!” Michael shouted.
“Ten million!”
“Eleven million!”

Shitty ending but considering overall I give the book .05 out of 5 stars. You used the same plot to many times, too many translation errors, even at the end you screwed around with the font and color because who knows why, the title had nothing to do with the story do I need to continue...
Just move to the enemy and let the snipers kill him for you Dustin. Use him as your shield easy peasy Mac n cheesey....

Why does Dustin still think he owes his adoptive dad a debt? Sure he saved his life and help raise, taught martial arts etc... till his death but Dustin stayed on and put his life at risk and invested his time and money into his 5 daughters up until they came across their biological brother and kicked him out. Treat him like a thieving dog and have attempted numerous times to kill him. He finally showed some common sense by imprisoning the 1 sister and killing her cousin yet he lets the others slide. With his status and power I would have already killed them off or at the very least taken them and imprisoned them like the 1 and tortured the mom into spilling everything she knows and getting my rightful inheritance, but the author has to drag it out....
He said to mutilate the body and burn it why not start with beheading it and taking it back to show the city and place it as an offering to his family? That's what a great MC would have done....
Lame you change the name of the characters and use the same ole trope how many time are you going to use it? First it was the Langley sisters, then the McCall girl I believe this is the second or third time with Shawna. You need new material author...
Oh my not the weak who the MC showed mercy by not killing him because of some honor bound duty to a dead guy makes a comeback and forces the MC into a corner before the mc finally kills him arc 🤣...
