Bailey's pov
I quickly put my dress back on properly, my heart speeding quickly.
I swallowed as I fixed my messy hair to hide those hickies her brother gave me last night after I washed my mouth to remove the stain.
"Bails?" Mira called out with another knock.
"Yeah, I'm almost done just a sec." I rushed out of my mouth and fixed my dress while praying that Mira wouldn't see those bruises on my neck.
Hoping I looked decent enough, I walked to the door and opened it. Mira is leaning against the opposite wall, arms crossed and feet too.
" Everyone seems to have already left." She sighed, pushing off the wall. I shifted out of her way.
"I need to pee so bad, it's like I could fill an entire bucket." She groaned and entered the bathroom swiftly. Usually I'd wait for her to get out and we'd talk on the way.
But right now, I was trying to avoid looking at her, so I made my way downstairs.
If upstairs was messy, then down here was worst. I could barely see the floor as I tried my hardest to tip-toe around every dirty cup.
I made a beeline for the kitchen, opened the fridge and pulled out one last water bottle. I chugged it down quickly, hoping it would help with the flush on my face.
"Up so early?"
I nearly choked on the water, gasping as I move the bottle from my lips. I coughed, wheezing and leaned against the counter for support.
I looked up, met his blue eyes and tore them away quickly when they managed to make my heart speed.
"What have you done to Bails?" Mira accused her brother as she walked into the kitchen. She patted my back as I hacked out cough after cough. Normally I would've glared at Kaleb, but right now I was hell-bent on evading him, so I glared at the floor instead.
"I haven't done anything to flower but greet her." He snorted while approaching us. I froze when he was so near, his scent filling my nose.
He smelled so good.
"Alright there, flower?" He chuckle lowly, the sound sending a shot of vibration in my lower stomach.
Fuck.
"Yes. You just caught me off guard. " I answered him while still evading his stare.
But when he brushed against me, my eyes found themselves staring at his face. I held my breath when he was already staring at me.
"I need some water." He uttered, his voice going hoarse.
An abrupt flashback of him speaking to me in that same hoarse voice last night made me bite into my bottom lip.
I quickly averted my gaze feeling my face flush again at the sudden memory.
I couldn't help but feel embarrassed right now..how could I have made myself get caught up in this mess?
I cleared my throat, avoiding his gaze as I uttered before he opened the fridge. "I took the last bottle."
"Is that right?" He asked smoothly.
Suddenly Kaleb reaches out for the bottle in my hand, his fingers grazing against mine. I sucked in a breath when I felt a jolt of electricity run up my arm.
He takes the bottle from my grasp, and moves away from me a little.
"Hey!" I snapped, my eyes glaring at him.
With a lopsided grin and eyes that gleamed, Kaleb took a swig of the water. His eyes never left mine while he gulped down the water.
My stomach twisted.
