Bailey's pov
The next morning Kaleb picks me up. Mira is slouched in the backseat, half asleep. " My brain is fried, so don't mind me that I look like a dead." Mira moaned when I entered.
I giggled, leaning over the counsel to plant a soft kiss on Kaleb's lips seeing him pout when I hadn't yet. He smiled, and pecked me one more time before reluctantly pulling away.
"Ew uh that's nasty," Mira faked gag. " I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing you two sharing pda. I'm getting shivers and it's not the good kind."
I grinned, buckling myself as I teased her. "Then maybe you should finally give Ryan a chance so that way you won't feel like a third wheel anymore."
Kaleb twisted around to stare at his sister. "What does she mean Ryan? Ryan as in my best friend Ryan?" His eyes narrowed on Mira.
I turn around to look at her and cringe when she sent me a glare. Oops.
She sighed, rolling her eyes. "Before you get upset, nothing has happened between us. It's only been flirting and nothing more."
Kaleb's eyes widen, and he looked over at me. "How did I not know about this? How am I the last to know these things?"
I smiled awkwardly. "It really wasn't my place to say anything, it actually just slipped. I'm sorry Mira."
She huffed, crossing her arms. "I may have deserved it for the way I acted when you two got together."
Kaleb backed out of the driveway. " I knew some shit was up from the moment I saw the way he looked at you. I shouldn't even be surprised."
"So you're okay with it?" Mira asked nervously. Kaleb spared her a glance through the rearview mirror and shrugged.
"As long as you're happy Mira. I don't get a say in your love life, or who you fall in love with. Ryan is a good guy and I know he'll treat you right. Because if he doesn't he knows what I will do to him."
Mira's eyes drop to her lap as she fumbles with her fingers. "Oh." Her voice was filled with guilt. "I'm sorry I wasn't as understanding for you Kaleb."
Kaleb shrugged. "It's fine. I'm happy you're okay with Bailey and me now though. Because you'll be seeing a lot of us from now on."
Mira scrunched her nose. "Yes. And a lot of PDA."
Kaleb and I laughed, not even going to deny it. We knew that we were not able to stay away from each other. And with every day that goes by, the fire for him keeps burning hotter.
When we arrived at the school, Kaleb got out and jogged around the car to come over to my side to open the door. Mira snorted. "I didn't think you'd have one gentleman bone in your body."
Kaleb grinned, looking so boyish and adorable. "There's a lot you don't know about me when it comes to Bailey, sister."
Mira nose wiggled. "I don't think I want to know."
Kaleb laughed and helped me out of the car then swing his arm over my shoulder. "Forgot to ask how the studying had gone with the wicked witch of the east." Mira said behind us.
My brows furrowed in thought. After Juliet had practically run out of my room, I heard nothing from her afterwards. I figured she was actually sick or something came up.
I didn't want to dwell on her for much because let's face it, I didn't practically want to study with Juliet.
I shrug. "We didn't get to study actually. She left because she said she felt sick." I still had a limp in my walk and knew that Kaleb was just itching to lift me in his arms.
"Really?" Mira hummed. "Weird."
I nodded, agreeing with her.
