My Dear Mr. Nice novel Chapter 29

Chapter 29 : Standing on my own merits!

So Carlos hadn't left recently, had he?

Micaela looked at the couch, had he spent the night there again?

Micaela bit her lip and opened the package. Today's was some porridge with a few snacks, very much to Micaela's taste.

After eating and picking up, she found a bag and blushed as she folded the suit jacket from the couch, then the pants from the bathing suit and shirts, they were clothes worth a lot of money and would have to be sent to the laundry.

Micaela bit her lip and washed the remaining socks, then washed her own clothes and hung them on the balcony....

She prepared the necessary things for work, took the clothes for dry cleaning, thinking there was a dry cleaner in the neighborhood, closed the door and went out.

After dropping off the clothes at the dry cleaners, Micaela took the bus to work.

Once at the Nubcancion building, the design department was on the 8th floor.

As she entered the empty elevator, the door was about to close, and a man ran up to her, Micaela hurried to stop the door from closing.

The man stepped inside and thanked her.

He smiled at Micaela in his gray suit and gold-rimmed glasses, looking svelte.

With a polite nod, Micaela looked away.

She was then followed by an elegantly dressed woman, and they stood to the left and right of the elevator.

The man, however, looked at Micaela thoughtfully for a long moment, until the other woman coughed dryly a couple of times and then looked away.

Micaela was immune to men's stares, and when she reached her floor, she walked out without noticing the man and woman behind her....

Presumably Kiki had explained it to her beforehand and the receptionist went straight through the initiation process.

It was a suite-like office with a sign on the door that said Design Department 2.

When she walked in, it was a large room with green plants all around and a compartmentalized office area in the center, to which no people had yet arrived. The two women who had arrived gave Micaela a curious glance and then looked down to do their business.

Further inside, the sign on the door read, "Designer's Office."

The man at the front desk opened the door right away and told Micaela to step into the office and wait.

Micaela walked in and examined the area.

Was this where Ms. Kiki used to create?

The furniture was simple, not too much stuff and well organized.

It didn't take long for Kiki to arrive, still wearing the same simple professional outfit from yesterday, with discreet colors, no makeup and very approachable.

She saw Micaela and greeted her cordially.

-Micaela, you're here. Have you completed the onboarding process?

-Yes.

-Good, come with me.

Kiki herself led her outside to the office area, where there were already people and someone could be seen in all the cubicles except the empty one.

They came to the only cubicle that was empty.

Kiki clapped her hands and everyone looked up.

-We have a new member on our team today, Micaela!

Micaela smiled kindly and looked at her new partner who stood up.

Two teammates and three teammates.

One of the men whistled and looked excitedly at another teammate, as if to say, "Oh, how beautiful!"

-Hello, everyone, my name is Micaela!

Micaela greeted briefly and the colleagues immediately rushed to say their names.

Kiki adopted the big sister posture, making a face of circumstance and saying:

-Look at your faces, haven't you ever seen a pretty girl or what! Don't scare her!

Then she laughed.

-We're all colleagues from now on, so let's be nice.

The office filled with laughter.

Micaela's mood was also much more relaxed.
