My Ex-husband Begs Me Back (Ayan and Camille) novel Chapter 1426

Chapter 1426 Disgust

Fletcher sighed as usual. He said, "I understand what you're saying, but there's a feeling I can't put into words. Grandfather doesn't know about this yet, and if he finds out, he'll be devastated. The bond between him and the old Armstrong was deep, and seeing the Armstrong family in such a state would definitely hurt him."

"We can temporarily keep it from grandfather, but the media is constantly lurking, trying to get firsthand information. It won't be long before they find out," Ayan implied that he planned to personally tell grandfather with Camille by his side and explain everything that has happened recently in detail.

It would be better for them to confess to him themselves rather than someone else telling him.

Fletcher had no objections, just advised Ayan, "Talk to grandfather thoroughly, word by word."

"Yes, I know," Ayan nodded in agreement.

The two of them stayed with Timmy at the Simpson's mansion for a while before leaving.

It was already past 9 o'clock at night when they left the Simpson's mansion. Returning directly to Franklin Bay at this hour would be after 10 o'clock. So Ayan briefly told Camille about his conversation with Fletcher and planned to visit the old Simpson at the hospital in person the next day.

Camille nodded in agreement but expressed some concern, "I suddenly feel a bit embarrassed because he has been involved with someone else for a long time. It feels really disgusting, especially considering that person is his own wife's cousin whom they grew up together with."

In fact, Camille didn't care about others, but she found it difficult to bring up this matter with the old Simpson.

However, Ayan said, "Those who commit such acts should reflect on themselves. Why should those who haven't done anything wrong have any emotions? After all, it's not us who did something wrong, it's him. If anyone should be embarrassed, it's him."

Ayan always easily consoled Camille and effortlessly confronted her discomfort.

With his support, Camille's emotions gradually settled.

Because she didn't do anything wrong, she didn't feel embarrassed at all. Even if people online mocked the Armstrong family and ridiculed her, she would remain unaffected, as she did nothing wrong.

Camille took a deep breath and looked ahead confidently, saying, "Yes, you're right."

If she hadn't done anything wrong, she should stand tall.

Perhaps because she no longer had any concerns, Camille felt a sense of relief throughout her being.

The two of them returned to Franklin Bay. It was already quite late, so Camille took a shower and washed her hair, followed by applying a face mask.

Ayan also showered in the guest room, then went to the study to take care of some work matters.

Camille used a beauty device to nourish her face, making it inconvenient for her to check her phone. She left it on the vanity table and lay on the sofa with her eyes closed to relax for a while.

After finishing her facial mask, washing her face, and applying skincare products, she picked up her phone intending to lie down in bed. It was then that she noticed a missed call from an unknown number.

It was the same number as last time. The reason she hadn't blocked it was simply because she was curious about what the other person wanted.

The first person she suspected was Preston, but after a series of unanswered calls, she hung up. It didn't seem like Preston's style to hang up after a few rings. If it were Preston, he would have connected the call directly. But this call didn't seem to have any intention of being answered.

So Camille was puzzled. What did this person want?

Were they simply bored and seeking attention?
