Camille actually knew Grace quite well. She was someone who would speak up about anything, so it was impossible to overlook the excessive obviousness of her reactions at this moment.
Ayan pulled her into his arms directly in response to Grace's concerns. His voice carried a faint smile as he said, "She has someone who cares for her. Nothing will happen. You, as her sister, are worried, but you have a tight grip on Horace, so there's no need to worry about her being mistreated or anything."
Camille knew this as well, so naturally, she wasn't worried.
However, when it came to the Armstrong family matter, Camille was still worried about Grace's psychological issues. Normally, it would take a long time for someone to grow, but Grace seemed to have grown overnight. The speed of her growth was truly remarkable, so fast that Camille couldn't help but worry about the possible impact on her psyche.
Camille pursed her lips slightly, her voice becoming somewhat uneasy. "Are you getting closer to Horace? There are things that you men might be better at discussing. Although my relationship with her is improving, there are certain things I feel I'm not suitable to talk about. So, could you talk to Horace for me and make sure she spends more time with her? We can't let her experience any depression."
Camille's only concern was this because a person's mental illness is invisible to outsiders, and only the individual themselves can bear the unimaginable pain.
Ayan made a soft sound of acknowledgment. He said, "I know."
Camille also spoke softly, "Then, Mr. Simpson, please take care of it."
Ayan snorted lightly and said indifferently, "You only bother being polite when you need something from me."
Camille retorted, "Do I? Am I not usually like this?"
He said, "You're usually quite cold towards me."
"Is that so? Are you accusing me?"
"Isn't it true? I have evidence. Do you want to see it?"
He asked with confidence, looking as if he had evidence. It made people ponder and doubt themselves.
Camille also pursed her lips slightly and carefully considered, then asked in a low voice, "What evidence do you have?"
"Do you want to see it?" he asked calmly, then began to negotiate conditions. He said, "If I present the evidence, you have to promise me something."
"What is it?"
"I haven't thought of it yet. I'll tell you when I do, alright?"
"That won't do. What if the condition you mention is something I can't fulfill?" Camille said calmly, feeling a bit flustered inside. This man always had the upper hand, and she was no match for him. Naturally, she didn't want to agree to his vague requests and conditions without clarification.
Camille's guard made him laugh, and he said, "Are you so afraid of me?"
Camille refused to admit it and simply said, "I'm not afraid of you. I just don't want to promise something I can't fulfill. I value integrity, and I won't agree to things I can't do."
In reality, she simply didn't want to agree to his vague conditions. Camille understood Ayan well, so she was cautious and vigilant at every turn.
But while she understood him, he understood her as well.
