My Ex-husband Begs Me Back (Ayan and Camille) novel Chapter 570

Chapter 570 Personal vendetta

"Don't ask too many questions, do as I say and mind your manners, okay?"
Camille did not explain much, just said a few simple words of reassurance and hurried Yessica to do as she had told her.
After Yessica went out, she made herself a cup of coffee and then walked to the floor-to-ceiling window to look out, her face expressionless.
Yessica asked if she would compromise.
Certainly not.
I t was sure that that company was a fraud, having always been successful in taking hard work for free this way. Then she would break this record and let them taste failure this time.
But there was no rush and she needed to take it slow.
It had almost been two hours before Yessica returned, during which time Camille never left the office and waited for her.
Yessica came back to explain the situation and she had recorded all the conversations, but the other side probably had realized this too, so basically they left nothing to hold.
Yessica cried and said with some sadness, "Master Armstrong, they are obviously bullying others."
"They'll bully even more if you have to cry it out." Camille's tone was indifferent, not at least trying to comfort her. She said, "Instead of crying here, why don't you just put up a good fight? How dare they bully someone if they are caught of loopholes?"
Yessica had learned a lot from Camille, so she had come a long way not only through her own efforts but also through Camille's guidance.
She looked at Camille with vague understanding for a long time before nodding, "I know what to do."
The two of them smiled at each other and Yessica was cheered up.
Camille spent the morning calmly at the office. As for Ayan, he did not call, and it was certain that Kian did not tell him, so Camille was able to work without stress.
Camille stayed at the office until about 5 p. m.
She planned to take a taxi to Sienna's restaurant for a free dinner, and then return to Maple Leaves Mansion.
But she had just turned off the computer. Before she got up from her chair, the office door was suddenly pushed open.
With it, the man strided in.
The door was also closed by him then.
A knock on the door and Yessica's anxious voice rang out, "Cami!"
Camille looked calmly at the man who had sat down on the sofa, and then lightly spoke: "I'm fine. You can just attend to your own business, and later we go to dinner together."
The first words were to tell Yessica that she was fine and the rest was to remind Yessica to come back later.
Yessica had been with her for a short time, so she understood the hint in her words immediately, so she stopped knocking at the door.
Camille sat motionless in her chair, her gaze indifferent to the man in the sofa area, and she said indifferently, "Master Norman, are you taking my company as your Norman Group?"
Austin came to the office to meet her, presumably because he knew she wasn't staying at Maple Leaves Mansion last night.
Although Camille respectfully called him Master Norman, but the coldness in her eyes was unmistakable, and the words were full of self-deprecating sarcasm.
But Austin did not care about what she meant, just lightly said: "Since you do not want to see me, then just agree to my request?"
Camille did not speak.
She just look at him indifferently.
At the same time, she also did not press the recording button in her phone.
Her silence caused a gradual change in Austin's face and his voice was colder than it had just been: "Mrs. Simpson, you do have an edge now, because your husband Master Simpson forced an ex-girlfriend with a life-threatening mental illness to apologize to you. But can you guarantee that you won't be the next Cora?"
Camille remained silent, her eyes looking at Austin with a cold distant look on her face as if she were looking at a stranger with whom she had no connection.
Her attitude showed that she did not take Austin seriously at all, which made Austin a little angry. Austin said coldly, "It's just a simple response in the chat group, but are you really going to force her to lose her life?"
Camille pursed her lips and said, "She knew that it was wrong and would cause harm to others, but she did it anyway. Should the person who was hurt forgive her just because she apologized? You've broken the law by sending me something disgusting to threaten me."
Austin chuckled.
He arrogantly asked, "Do you have any evidence? If not, I can sue you for false accusation."
Camille looked at the calculating man with a cold face and she said, "Of course there is evidence. You have come to my door time and time to disturb me. Is this not evidence?"
"Who can prove I'm bothering you, Miss Armstrong? We're working together for a project, so what is wrong with me, as the head of the financial affairs, coming to you, the architect, for work?"
He said it righteously and majestically, but instead, Camille felt from the bottom of her heart that he was a man who could shamelessly call white black.
His aggressiveness lulled Camille into silence, and the office door was opened directly from the outside at that moment.
Not waiting for Camille and Austin to look over, the cold man's voice slowly sounded: "If Master Norman is no longer working on this project, then shall we now regard your behavior as an interruption? "
Austin's face suddenly changed and his gaze was cold as he looked over.
Camille also looked towards the door in the direction of the sound, only to see Ayan stood there pensively, his handsome face as cold as ice, deep black eyes flashing indifferent coldness like an abyss so that people dared not look straight.
He only wore a white shirt and the classic black suit pants, but his short, slightly disordered hair showed he came in a hurry. There was a distinct chill all over the body, and even the air in the office was also affected.
After his words, the atmosphere then quieted down.
After a brief silence, Austin's voice then sounded indifferently: "What does Master Simpson mean? Is it to kick me out of this project?"
"If Master Norman needs it, it's not impossible. After all, the project can be continued without the Norman Group. And if you still want to continue what you're doing now then I don't mind removing the Norman Group from the project."
Ayan's arrogant and domineering attitude and words made Austin angry as well.
Austin grunted: "Master Simpson is trying to take over all of it? But don't forget, this project is not owned by Simpson Group but Mr. and Mrs. Bell. It's not Master Simpson's turn to make the decision."
Ayan narrowed his eyes slightly, and the coldness in them swept Austin like a sharp sword. He didn't take Austin's words into account at all, but still gave Austin the most standard answer: "It's true that the project is not owned by Simpson Group, but the project leader is under the name of Ayan, so do you think I have this right to kick unsuitable partners out of the way?"
Austin was silent at once.
Ayan's attitude remained the same without any intention of backing down.
The two men's eyes locked while Austin, but also still making his final struggle. "Is Master Simpson trying to take a personal vendetta?"
"Do you have evidence? Besides, what personal vendetta do we have? We only met because of this project, so Master Norman thinks we have some personal vendetta against each other? Right?"
Ayan's string of questions forced Austin face stiff and his eyes filled with cold hostility. But on the contrary, Ayan was always calm and comfortable without revealing too much emotion.
After questioning Austin, he walked into the office slowly and unhurriedly, then pulled out the chair in front of the desk and sat down. He crossed his legs and stared at Austin with a calm look, his voice coldly questioning: "Master Norman, if you have any questions or want to say anything else, just say it all now."
