Chapter 113 Meltdown
Byron was caught in surprise as he watched his daughter run after Rosalie‘s car. This little one had only met Rosalie a few times, but she was so attached to her…
Just as Byron was lost in thoughts, the little girl suddenly fell. He came back to his senses sharply and quickly. Stepping forward, he took Estie into his arms. “Where did you hurt yourself? Let me have a look.”
Little Estie hugged his neck tightly and did not want to let go.
While Byron was caught up in the moment, the little girl‘s cries were loud and clear in his ears.
For a split second, he could not believe his ears.
Although she was crying, it was also the first time Estelle made a sound in her whole life.
Estie‘s tiny body shook as she cried hard. She dug her nails into her daddy‘s neck, causing a tingling pain. Byron quietly endured it and kept trying to comfort the little girl despite battling the complicated emotions within himself.
“Aunt… I want Aunt…”
Suddenly, Estie said a few words intermittently. Byron stopped dead in his tracks.
He never expected Estie‘s first words to be this.
That woman was so important to her.
It was a very unpleasant feeling in his heart, and he could only tell the little girl the cruel truth, “Aunt is gone. Don‘t cry. I‘m here for you.” Little Estie still chose to cry with all the strength in her body, twitching with every sniffle. She exhausted herself completely.
Byron was helpless, so he could only ask for a day off from school for her and send the little girl home. On the way home, the little girl slowly stopped crying. She just sat quietly in the back, sobbing from time to time.
When she got home, she paid no one any attention and went back to her room. She slammed the door.
