Chapter 1036
Charles and Steven naturally knew what Skylar was alluding to.
The worries that had plagued them dissipated in a moment.
Steven started, “No matter your final decision, I’ll support it. However, you’ve got to update me on whatever happens the second anything changes. I call the shots in our family. If I’ve got to know something, you must not keep it from me. If I can solve the problem for you, I will. If I can’t do so, we’ll deal with it together.”
Charles agreed wholeheartedly, “Steven is right. Your divorce from Joe makes me feel a little
uncomfortable because I keep feeling like Joe has taken advantage of you. However, I know that you made this decision for a reason. I support you as well.”
Tears welled up in Skylar’s eyes upon hearing that. She sipped at her water to hide her tears.
Janine poked her head out from the kitchen and glanced at them.
“We’re out of garlic. Could one of you head downstairs to get some? The grocery outside our neighborhood sells a range of fruits and vegetables.”
She then ducked back into the kitchen and continued cooking.
Skylar wanted to get some air. She volunteered, “I’ll go.
“I’ll go with you and get some yogurt too.” Steven followed her out.
Charles was too late. They’d left before he had the chance to stand up. He thought about it for a moment. Then, he gave the idea up. Purchasing a few cloves of garlic wasn’t a job for three people.
As Skylar and Steven left their neighborhood, he cut to the chase and said, “In the past, I thought Joe adored you. However, considering how things are going, is there a misunderstanding between you two?”
“Not really. After living together for a while, we realized that the other had a few unacceptable flaws. It’s not that complicated. Steven, a divorce benefits both of us. In addition, I’ll move back home with Mom after the divorce. It’s great.
“You, Charles, and Harvey should come home whenever you’re free. We can have dinner and chat often as a family,” Skylar said casually.
Steven couldn’t catch anything off about her.
He nodded and replied, “You’re right.”
“Don’t tell Mom about this yet. After my divorce, I’ll be leaving Jipsburg for a few days. I’ll tell Mom about this when I get back.”
Skylar felt a bout of regret. She should’ve kept her marriage from them. They would be none the wiser if she got divorced. Yet, they were worrying about her now.
“Alright.”
They arrived at the grocery shortly.
Although it wasn’t large, it had everything one could ever need.
Steven had always liked yogurt. They had his favorite brand here.
“Would you like some?” Steven asked.
Skylar nodded and added, “Right, let’s get two bottles for Mom and Charles respectively.”

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
