Chapter 1130

Joe rarely showed his weaknesses in front of others. Many people believed him to be unyielding, an immovable force. Yet at that moment, as Skylar looked at him lying weakly on the bed, his face pale, and a wave of indescribable emotions washed over her.
“Are you feeling any better?”
Allergies could cause discomfort, and the fact that Joe passed out due to a food allergy indicated he was suffering some pain.
Joe’s voice was filled with an air of vulnerability as he looked at her and said, “I’m hungry.”
“What do you want to eat?” The refrigerator was stocked with various foods so Skylar could whip up whatever he craved.
Joe thought seriously for a moment. “Pasta.”
“Okay, you rest while I make some. Paul and the others are still outside. Do you need to speak with them? If not, I’ll have them head home to rest,” Skylar said.
She glanced at the time. It was already 1:00 am.
Joe nodded. As Skylar turned to leave, he suddenly grabbed her hand. She turned back, a bit
startled.
She asked, her voice urgent, “Is there something else bothering you? Should I call Dr. Grey in?
The lingering heaviness in Joe’s heart dissipated under the bright light of her worry. “You’re really worried about me,” he said softly.
Realizing he held a place in her heart made him feel lighter, as if something sweet was floating
inside him.
Skylar said, “Of course. If you feel unwell, you must tell me.”
“I’m fine now. Don’t worry. Just let them go.”
They would just feel like third wheels if they stayed here. He found their presence bothersome.
After leaving the underground parking lot, Lizzie and the others went their separate ways. However, Paul decided to accompany Lizzie.
Lizzie was a night owl. The later it got, the more alert she became.
Although Paul had come to escort Lizzie, she was the one driving. She hadn’t had any drinks, while Paul had indulged earlier and was now yawning continuously.

Lizzie glanced at him while waiting at a red light. “How did you even get to this point? It’s not even 2:00 am, and you’re already this tired.”
“I’m just relying on my skills,” Paul replied, stifling a yawn with a slightly defensive tone.
Lizzie chuckled. “Right, it’s all about your skills.
“On a serious note, you and Joe will be breaking off your engagement soon. What are your plans after that?” Paul asked.
He sensed that Lizzie seemed a bit lost, like a shell of her former self.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
