Chapter 1131
Paul added, “Muriel dropped out of college and never graduated, let alone went abroad for further studies. It’s indeed tough for her to find a good job. Oh, I almost forgot. She mentioned she sometimes works part–time at night, selling goods at a night market. She probably has other jobs too.”
However, after entering society and encountering various types of people, Paul could easily discern someone’s state from their demeanor.
It was clear that these past few years hadn’t treated Muriel well.
If she had graduated back then and pursued further studies abroad, she could have returned as a jewelry designer, leading a completely different life than the one she was living.
But life didn’t have “ifs“.
Paul noted that Lizzie had stopped asking questions, realizing she was probably moving on. After all, several years had passed. Even if she couldn’t let go back then, time would help her
move on.
However, after half an hour, when Lizzie dropped Paul off at his doorstep, she suddenly asked, “Which night market?”
“What?”
Lizzie looked at him. “Which night market did you run into Muriel?”
Paul was taken aback. “You… never mind, it’s at the Starlit Market. But you
at this hour. It’s probably closed.”
Lizzie didn’t respond. She pressed the gas pedal and drove away.

there
As he watched the car disappear around the corner, Paul suddenly realized what he had done. He had just said something he shouldn’t have.
He shrugged off the thought. What was done was done.
The next morning, just after 8:00 am, Skylar woke up to find Joe still asleep.
She quietly left the bedroom after observing him and confirming he was fine.
She went to the kitchen and made some simple chicken soup, heating a few blueberry muffins. She didn’t cook anything else; she just added some marinated olives on the side.
It was a simple breakfast. Once finished, she settled on the couch to wait for Joe to wake up, casually browsing through the news.

Joe and Lizzie were caught on camera attending a banquet at the Avalon Residence. The media was abuzz with colorful descriptions of their relationships.
One had to admire the reporters. Their writing was impressive. If someone unaware of the truth read those detailed accounts of romance, they would genuinely believe it was real.
In the past few days, the media had somewhat uncovered every detail, even pinpointing when the two of them had met and when they had gone out together.
These people had no shame, all for the sake of attention.
Just as she was about to log off Facebook, another headline caught her eye. Vera was sitting alone in a café, sipping coffee, her long hair flowing and her lips painted a striking red.
It was hard not to notice. The heiress of the Ruell family was nursing her heartbreak, lost in her thoughts over a cup of coffee.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
