She felt grateful as she read his message. "Thank you, Aiken. I've been considering this too. After Mr. Ziegler returned, he mentioned his experience from three years ago and happened to bring up Ned, who was locked up with him."

Jeremy later told her that the successful rescue of Paul wasn't just due to the money paid but also because of Aiken's involvement.

If it hadn't been for Aiken's role as a middleman and facilitating communication, the underground factory's boss would definitely not have released him.

After ending the call, Skylar quickly got ready and made breakfast. As for Aiken, he claimed he was going to sleep, but he didn't rest at all. He had been awake the entire night.
