Rosa immediately looked up and, upon seeing Joe, let out a sigh of relief.
"Ned, you're finally here. I was so scared doing all those tests alone."
"What did the doctor say?" Joe asked.
"We're waiting on one test result. If all is well, I'll be in surgery this afternoon," Rosa replied quickly.
Joe simply nodded.
Seeing his somewhat distant expression, Rosa felt anxious. She couldn't help but ask, "Yesterday, you said you had something to tell me after my surgery. Could you tell me now?"
"After the surgery," Joe replied directly.
Rosa's heart skipped a beat. "Could you give me a hint? I'm curious. Are we getting married right after my surgery?"
She looked intently at him as she tested the waters with her question.
Joe frowned slightly before saying, "Focus on your surgery. We'll discuss everything after that."
His firm tone made her feel cold. It wasn't about their marriage. His reaction had shown that he hadn't even considered it.
"Ned, be honest with me. Is there someone else? I'm about to undergo surgery, and I need the truth. Don't lie to me," Rosa asked nervously.
Joe's expression turned cold, his gaze steely. "You need to stay calm."

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
