Two hours later, Rosa woke up from her nap after her surgery.
When she opened her eyes, she saw a caretaker beside her. Just as she was getting anxious and about to ask where Joe was, he walked in.
Perhaps due to the surgery, she felt incredibly weak and insecure. So, she desperately hoped Joe would stay by her side.
"Ned…"
"You just had surgery, and your body is still very weak. Rest first. We'll talk once you've fully recovered," Joe said while looking at her.
Rosa shook her head. "No, I want to look at you. I want you to stay with me."
At this point, the caretaker was done with her job and left the room.
Joe came over and sat across from her bed. It was only then that Rosa felt she had some strength and a sense of stability. It was as if all her worries faded away when Joe was there.
Joe gave her a short nod. "Your surgery was very successful. So, you'll be discharged in a few days."
It wasn't surprising that the surgery was successful. After all, they hired a reputable doctor. Rosa trusted him and hadn't expected any complications. Besides, it was just a minor procedure.
"Will you be busy with work in the next few days? Can you come to see me when you have time? I'll be bored being alone in the hospital. And you know I don't really have friends besides you," Rosa said, looking at Joe expectantly.
It was true that she didn't have many friends.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
