It seemed like Skylar had seen the elderly man in some videos.
Just as she was wondering, Kevin spoke, "I've only seen you in videos and photos before. Now that I've met you in person, I understand why Viola chose to pass all her knowledge to you. In some ways, you're quite similar to her."
"Alright, now that you've seen Skylar, you have to keep your promise! Skylar and Viola are both upright and kind people. They have nothing to say to you," Gloria said coldly.
Every word she spoke was laced with a clear sense of distrust toward Kevin.
Skylar glanced at Gloria before turning to Kevin. "You're Grandma Viola's younger brother, aren't you?"
She didn't expect the person they had been searching for all this time to show up on his own. And not just anywhere—he had come to Avalon Residence and sought Gloria out.
Kevin nodded in satisfaction. "You're smart to figure out who I am. And you've managed to locate so many of my artifacts and deal with them properly. You truly are capable.
"However, your achievements today are largely due to Viola's sacrifice. She was willing to give up her life for you."
Kevin's expression had grown contorted and sinister by the time he finished speaking.
Sensing that something was wrong, Gloria called out, "Skylar, come over here quickly."
Hearing this, Skylar was about to move toward Gloria when Kevin suddenly threw his head back and laughed.
His laughter sent chills down everyone's spines. It was a chilling, indescribable kind of horror.
"Viola protected her with her life. I won't harm her. What are you afraid of?" Kevin looked at Gloria, his eyes filled with mockery.
Skylar's face turned pale. Others might not understand what Kevin meant by his words, but she did.
The reason she was given a second chance at life was because Viola had sacrificed her own.
"Do you want to know why you can sense cursed artifacts?" Kevin asked, staring intently at Skylar.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
