If Jenny observed him closely, she would’ve noticed that Joe was different today. His face was a blank slate. It caused a chill to run down Jenny’s spine.
Finally, Jenny realized that something was off while dabbing at her tears. She froze and said, “Joe…”
She glanced at Paul, who was standing behind him.
Paul’s words from the afternoon echoed in her head. In addition, Joe’s iciness toward her confused and scared her. It was as though what she believed to be within her grasp was now well out of her reach.
“Have you been keeping something from me?” asked Joe.
His monotone made her tremble. Jenny paled as her heart sank.
Could it be?
No, it was impossible.
There was no way he would find out.
Her every meeting with Edwin had happened discreetly. No one would know. Had Skylar told him something? Why did she have to be such a horrible woman? Why was Skylar intent on hurting her?
“I haven’t been keeping anything from you. Has someone said something to you?” Jenny felt her throat tighten as she posed the question nervously.
Paul chuckled internally when it became clear that Jenny planned to continue lying. If he hadn’t seen those pictures and videos with his own eyes, he might’ve believed that she was helpless. Unfortunately, he had seen them.
Joe looked away and said to Paul, “Deal with her.”
Then, he walked out.
Jenny froze in bewilderment. She muttered, “Joe…”
Why had he left? He hadn’t even said much?

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
