Chapter 864
Before Paul could finish his sentence, someone appeared behind him.
The next moment, Joe snatched the phone right out of Paul’s hand.
Skylar was puzzled by the sudden silence on the other end of the line. Then she heard Joe’s voice.
“If you’re so concerned about me, why not just call me directly?” Joe said.
Skylar was caught off guard. She hadn’t expected Joe to overhear her conversation with Paul, let alone take over and speak to her himself.
Thankfully, she had just had some coffee, so her mind was sharp. She quickly responded, “I thought you might be busy.”
“Call me directly next time.” Joe’s tone was a bit commanding.
“Alright,” Skylar replied.
She expected Joe to return the phone to Paul and end the call. But Joe surprised her again by saying, ” Find some time to come by my company.”
Skylar was taken aback. She couldn’t quite figure out what Joe was thinking. She asked, “Aren’t you worried your employees will find out about our relationship?”
Joe said, “They’ll know sooner or later. Once we have the wedding, everyone in Jipsburg will know you’re my wife.”
Skylar gripped her phone tightly. A wedding… There was no hint or any intention to divorce her in his words.
After a brief silence from Skylar, Joe’s eyes darkened slightly. Then, he said, “Alright, I’ll get back to work.”
“Okay, bye,” Skylar replied.
After the call ended, Skylar found herself momentarily lost in thought. She couldn’t stop thinking about her relationship with Joe.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
