Chapter 865
Skylar’s smile faltered at the corners when she heard Joe’s lukewarm response.
His comment “not bad” implied that the wedding dress wasn’t quite up to his expectations, possibly because the bride in the wedding dress wasn’t the person he had envisioned.
Realizing this, Skylar suddenly snapped back to reality and said, “Edgar, I think the wedding dress I just tried on was quite nice. Let’s go with that one.”
She had no interest in trying on the remaining dresses.
Edgar glanced at the few remaining dresses that hadn’t been tried yet. He asked, “Shall we skip those?”
“Yes, after looking at them all, the one I tried earlier is definitely the best,” Skylar replied with a smile.
“How about letting Mr. Martin see you try on the second dress?” Edgar suggested, recalling that the second wedding dress had looked quite good. If Joe had seen it, he might have found it even more captivating.
Edgar thought, “Let’s see if Mr. Martin’s attitude remains firm. What does ‘not bad‘ even mean? It completely dampened Mrs. Martin’s interest in tying on more wedding dresses.”
Skylar was about to refuse, thinking Joe wouldn’t want to see it and that it would be a waste of time. But before she could speak, Joe nodded and said, “Yes, you should try it.”
He then moved to the remaining wedding dresses. He scanned them one by one before settling on one. This one is nice too. You should try it.”
Skylar first tried on the second dress, then the one Joe had chosen.
Joe’s choice proved to be excellent. The wedding dress showcased her figure beautifully and highlighted her neck.
Skylar was captivated by her reflection in the mirror. She realized that when a woman found the right wedding dress, she could be so beautiful that she couldn’t take her eyes off herself.
Suddenly, she caught Joe’s gaze in the mirror.
His eyes held awe and admiration, and there was a hint of affection.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
