Jenny paused. What did she mean by asking her to live a cushy life with Rowan? 

“You… Do you really not plan on using the child to entrap Rowan into a marriage?” Jenny couldn’t believe it. 

Minerva immediately called someone. She said, “You’re Mr. Pierre Carson, the reporter, right? I’ve got a…” 

“Got it! Minerva, I got it. Don’t worry. I’ll never show up in front of you ever again. I saw nothing today,” gushed Jenny as she paled. 

She backed away to put distance between her and Minerva. 

She suddenly understood what her friend meant when she said that rich girls like Minerva looked unfazed by anything but were, in reality, ruthless and cruel. Trying to butt heads against them would only end in failure. She knew now.
