Skylar noticed Natalie trying to stifle her laughter and realized that Hank and Natalie’s weight loss likely 

had the same cause. 

Looking at Austin, she could tell that he maintained his physique regularly. He looked just as fit as he did back at Jipsburg. 

Hank was skilled at barbecuing. He called out to Skylar and Natalie, “Just wait another half hour–at most. I’ll have everything ready.” 

Natalie leaned in, clearly excited. “It smells amazing.” 

“It smells good, right? I’ve loved barbecue and grilled meat since I was a kid. These seasonings were sent from my hometown, so they’re definitely authentic.” 

Natalie nodded eagerly, looking every bit the food enthusiast. “It’s obvious that it’s authentic.” 

Skylar and Austin stood aside, each holding a glass of different fruit juices. Skylar noticed that Austin’s gaze kept drifting toward Natalie. 

When he saw Natalie eyeing the skewers hungrily, he couldn’t help but smile. His affection was visible in his eyes, and it was clear that his feelings for Natalie were more than admiration. 

Mr. Powell, do you have feelings for Nath? Not the usual employer–employee affection, but genuine romantic interest?” Skylar asked directly. 

Upon hearing Skylar’s words, Austin took a sip of his juice. Then, he placed the cup down and shifted his gaze back from Natalie. “Is it that obvious?” 

“Yes, I can sense it.” Skylar nodded. 

Austin’s voice softened, taking on a more serious tone. He asked, “How long do you think it will take for her to be ready for a new relationship?” 

Skylar was surprised by his straightforwardness. “Are you aware of her past with Jeremy?” 

“She and Jeremy are divorced. Given Natalie’s personality, she won’t rekindle anything with him,” Austin said confidently. 

It was clear Austin knew Natalie well. 

Skylar remained cautious. “Mr. Powell, are your feelings for Nath genuine, or are you just looking for companionship because you’re lonely from filming? Mr. Powell, Nath is kind and simple. She doesn’t know how to manipulate men like some other women might. She’s just come out of a painful situation and can’t afford to be hurt by another relationship.” 

Skylar hoped Austin could understand her meaning. He should reconsider his intentions if he only wanted a casual fling, as Natalie wouldn’t participate. 

Those who were into playing emotional games ought to find someone else. Natalie was not to be approached with such intentions. 

Austin looked at Skylar with a serious and sincere expression. “She is lucky to have a friend like you.” 

Their eyes met, and Skylar could clearly sense Austin’s seriousness. He smiled and said, “I’ve been in the entertainment industry for over a decade, and this is the first time I’ve truly put my heart into a 

relationship. If she agrees, she will be my wife.” 

Not a girlfriend, but a wife. This indicates how much he cared about Natalie.
