“Are you still with Aiken and his sister?” Joe’s cold voice came through the phone, Even without seeing each other’s faces, the coldness in his tone was unmistakable. 

Skylar frowned slightly. “I’m with Natalie. She’s sick.” 

After a moment of silence, Joe said, “I’ll pick you up tonight.” 

“No need. She has a fever, so I’ll be watching her tonight,” Skylar refused directly. 

Joe simply responded with an “Alright.” 

With nothing more to say, they ended the call. 

Skylar looked at her phone, feeling an odd emptiness in her che order. So, she picked it up and returned to the hotel.

Hearing his name changed Natalie’s expression. She looked at Skylar and said, “I’m going to lie down. Can you open the door for me?” 

Skylar just nodded. “Okay.” 

When she opened the door, Jeremy was about to say something. But he stopped upon seeing her instead 

of Natalie. 

“You’re not going out with Joe?” Jeremy asked. 

Skylar nodded slightly. “I’ll be staying with Nath today. 

Natalie then called out weakly from the bed, “Is there something you need?” 

Jeremy frowned immediately and walked quickly toward the bed, noticing the chicken soup and vegetables on the table. Looking closer, he also saw the thermometer and medicine on the table. 

“You’re sick? Why didn’t you tell me? I’ll take you to the hospital,” Jeremy said as he tried to help Natalie
