At that time, there was someone else who couldn’t sleep–Vera, who was staying at the same hotel. 

She was staring at her phone for a long time. She had sent multiple messages to Joe, but he had yet to respond to any of them.

frustration. 

“Didn’t you say that as long as I kept wearing the ring and spent more time with Joe, it would make it harder for him to resist me? 

“But it seems that even though we’ve met several times and each time lasted longer, he doesn’t seem to be changing at all!” Vera vented all her frustrations in one breath. 

“That’s impossible. When you first met him, didn’t he choose to go to the hospital with you after you got sick instead of taking his wedding photos? That clearly shows that it’s the ring’s effect. You must stay calm and not lose control,” Molly replied calmly.

After ending the call, Vera thought of something else and immediately opened the Amazon app. 

She saw a message from the shop asking her to cancel her order, saying they couldn’t appraise her ring. A friend recommended this shop, saying it was very reliable for appraisals and that if she was uncertain about any antiques, she should consult them. 

The response from the shop had been slow lately, but she had waited patiently.
