Willow observed the surroundings. Nothing had changed except for the dirt path that turned into a cement path, and their old clay-brick house had turned into a villa.
The villa was built on the land of their house.
They couldn’t help but be suspicious that this was their home.
Helen's eyes widened when she heard Willow. Her body trembled more due to the distress.
“No way. Our house turned into a villa?” Helen couldn’t believe it.
Willow was confused. “Aunt Helen, I’m not sure…”
This villa was built upon the land where their house used to be. Could it be that someone had demolished their house without their family's consent and occupied their land?
Thinking of this, Willow was furious.
Nice people were always bullied. Their family had always been kind to everyone in the village. Had the people secretly demolished their house because there was no one around?
Willow’s chest heaved with anger.
Lara also realized that something was wrong. She scolded, “Which bastard tore down our house and occupied our land?”
Lara’s words confirmed Willow’s suspicions and she became more furious. “I’m going to complain to the village head.”
Willow turned around and was about to leave when the gate of the villa opened. A young man, in a suit, walked out. He called out to Willow with a smile, “You must be Ms. Willow.”
Willow stopped and turned back to look at him. She had never seen him around the village before. He was not from the village.
