Xavie drove away.
While driving, Xavier looked at Jasper through the rearview mirror.
Jasper was resting with his eyes closed.
Xavier couldn't help but feel curious. "Uncle Jaz, what are you doing here? Was there something you needed to do here?"
This wasn't a flourishing area. Most of the people here were either traveling businessmen or poor folks who lived here.
Logically speaking, Jasper shouldn't even be here.
He belonged to the elites. He was either in the city center or prosperous areas.
"Yeah," Jasper uttered half-heartedly.
"Was it work-related?" Xavier asked.
"Yes," Jasper replied.
He seemed tired. Clearly, he wasn't in the mood to talk.
Xavier knew better than to disturb him further.
After Xavier sent Jasper to the office, Jasper suddenly asked just as Xavier was about to leave, "What were you doing there?"
Xavier was stunned for a moment. He only realized what Jasper was asking after a while. "I was there for work too."
With encouragement from Jasper, Xavier decided to find Willow. In the end, he was still rejected.
In fact, Willow was very firm about it.
If Xavier told Jasper about this, the latter would probably think he was a loser.
Besides, Xavier hadn't given up yet. He decided he would tell Jasper about it after he had won Willow over.
