My Four Miraculous Treasures novel Chapter 25

Being on the receiving end of Jasper’s oppressive gaze, Tyson tensed up immediately. It seemed something was going on between Lara and his boss. Why else would a single phone call concern Jasper so much?

“How can I be of help, Ms. Smith?” Tyson asked casually.

Willow then gave a rough account of what happened over the phone.

Tyson replied, “Alright, I’ll testify for you right away.”

When he hung up, he immediately noticed the gloominess on his boss’s face. Even the raging storm outside couldn’t compare to the coldness of Jasper’s gaze.

Tyson quickly explained, “Sir, I saw Dale White harassing Ms. Lara in the first-floor lobby yesterday afternoon. It was a serious breach of our company’s workplace policy, so I taught him a lesson and fired him afterward. However, someone came and broke his leg. Now, he’s suing Ms. Lara for destroying his family and causing his injury. As a key witness, I must offer my testimonial.”

Tyson proceeded to give Jasper a detailed explanation of the whole incident. After all, he was dealing with Jasper’s potential romantic partner. He didn’t want to leave any space for misunderstandings about his relationship with Lara.

Tyson was Jasper’s number-one aide, so he naturally had to cover for himself. Aside from his competence, the only other way to gain Jasper’s trust was through words.

If he didn’t resolve this misunderstanding, it would deepen from here on out.

Finally, Jasper understood why Lara was seeking Tyson’s help. It seemed he had been overthinking.

The woman didn’t have the guts to seduce his assistant—yet.

“Go straight to the police station. Make sure everyone involved is taken there for questioning,” instructed Jasper as he leaned back into his car seat.

It was just a trivial incident, yet everyone in the company knew about it.

“Understood,” replied Tyson. He stepped on the gas pedal.

Soon, Jasper and Tyson entered the police station.
