After parking the car, Willow hurriedly went to the lobby.
Fortunately, it was only ten minutes past eight. Work started at nine so she wasn’t late today.
“Ms. Nason.”
As she passed by the lobby, Fanny, the receptionist, called out to her.
Willow stopped and looked at her without saying anything.
Fanny walked up to her with an apologetic face. “Ms. Nason, I didn't know it was like that yesterday. I definitely wouldn’t have asked you to the get-together if I had known otherwise. I was also tricked…” Fanny sincerely apologized.
After working together for some time, Willow knew what kind of person Fanny was. She had high morality and values. She wasn’t a snob or the type who spread rumors. Willow believed her.
“It’s okay. I don’t blame you. You don’t have to feel guilty,” Willow said.
Fanny loosened up and smiled. “Thank you, Ms. Nason. Don’t worry, I will definitely help you out in the future.”
After that, she cheerfully returned to her workstation. Her gloomy face was gone.
Willows entered the elevator in relief.
She had been in the secretary’s office for the whole morning. She would never go to the CEO’s office if Jasper did not call her because she didn’t want to be stressed out.
In the lobby, Yelena was here to see Jasper again. She was all dolled up.
Fanny recognized her because she said that she was an old friend of Jasper.
Since Willow had let her up yesterday, Fanny took it upon herself to let Yelena up because she didn’t want to disturb Willow. She thought that she was helping Willow out.
Yelena arrived at the CEO’s office and knocked on the door.
She pushed the door open after receiving permission.
