Willow was afraid that the kids would follow Lara, so she hurriedly ran toward Lara to stop her from coming her way.
“I’m back now, Mom,” Willow said nervously as she held Lara's arms.
Lara knew her daughter the best, she could sense her being nervous and she looked behind Willow suspiciously. “Who sent you back? Why are you so nervous?”
Willow became more anxious and she tried to block Lara’s sight. “I took a cab.”
She felt relieved when she glanced backward and realized that Jasper was gone.
“Why did you have to act so strangely if you took a cab? Others might think that your boss has sent you back. You’re not worthy of your boss. Find an ordinary man that could accept your job and kids would be good.”
“Mom, why do you talk about your daughter like that? Am I that bad? The kids are my treasures, no one could dislike them.” Willow said seriously and went in the direction of her unit.
Lara realized that her words were too harsh. Willow was pretty and her ability wasn't bad either.
Knowing that she was being unreasonable, she hurriedly caught up with Willow.
She softened her attitude as she had never apologized to anyone before.
“Yes, I know they are your treasures. You worked hard every day and you still have to raise them. Don’t you feel tired?”
“I’m not tired. I’m happy that they are by my side. How can I feel tired?”
“Sigh…” Lara didn’t know what to say.
