Willow followed Rachel for a couple of steps before suddenly stopping. "Hang on," she said.
Rachel turned around to look at her. Surprised and nervous, Rachel asked, "Don't you want to escape?"
Being locked up by Jasper was a somewhat exclusive experience. Many women could only dream of receiving such treatment from him.
Willow was too occupied to respond to Rachel's wild imagination. She let go of Rachel's hand and ran back to the door to close it.
That way, even if the bodyguards did return, they would see that the door was still closed and think Willow was still inside. This would buy them more time to escape.
After quickly closing the door, Willow ran back to Rachel's side and dragged her into the elevator. They pressed the button for the first floor before quickly pressing the button to close the elevator doors.
They were terrified that the two bodyguards would return and see them.
Fortunately, the elevator doors closed in time to prevent them from being seen by anyone outside.
Only then did Willow sigh in relief. She finally had time to speak to Rachel. "How did you lure the bodyguards away?"
Jasper's bodyguards were all smart people, while Rachel was a vulnerable woman. Besides, she was still here. Willow honestly could not figure out how Rachel single-handedly lured the two bodyguards while still being able to knock on the door to save her.
Rachel smiled. "I had help."
"A helper? Who?" Willow was curious.
Rachel rubbed her nose. "Wyatt."
Willow was surprised. "How did you and Wyatt get to this stage so fast? Hasn’t he repeatedly rejected you?"
"It's not what you think. This will take a long time to explain. I'll tell you all about it when we have the time," Rachel said.
"Okay." Willow nodded.
Now, escaping was more important. It certainly was not the right time for gossip.
Soon, the elevator stopped on the first floor. Rachel led Willow outside.
