My Four Miraculous Treasures novel Chapter 36

Willow had backed herself into a corner, and her back was pressed against the wall. When her body came into contact with the cold marble tiles, she gasped in surprise.

In the next moment, Jasper placed his hand on the wall. She was almost pressed against his chest with how close he was leaning over her. Meanwhile, Jasper used his other hand to lift her chin, raising her face to meet his gaze.

He looked down at her as if he were observing a tiny ant.

"You seem to have quite a liking for this place, don't you?" The man's low, magnetic voice was as melodic as a cello, and the words rolled smoothly off his tongue.

His scent, a mix of musk and sandalwood, washed over Willow like a tidal wave.

Her mind involuntarily recalled the kiss back then, and her entire body tingled.

She blinked instinctively as she softly said, "It's not that I like it. This is just part of my duties."

Cleaning the restroom was indeed part of her job.

Jasper scoffed disdainfully. "Duty? Your sense of duty is quite peculiar."

Was it because she had tasted the sweetness last time that she had come again? Did she really enjoy watching men so much?

Or was it just him?

"I have a strong sense of duty. I never covet what I shouldn't. Mr. Hughes, please let me go." Willow said, feeling overwhelmed by the man before her.

Especially since he had cornered her against the wall, and his overbearing presence was practically suffocating her.

She could feel herself getting numb and weak. Even her voice had become soft when she spoke.

She truly hadn't meant to do this!

Before she came in, she had even cleared her throat to announce her presence.

Who would have known that he wouldn't make a sound from inside?!

So, she had entered. She had thought no one was there, only to discover that he was indeed inside!

Could she really be blamed for this?!
