Leon quickly walked up to Willow so that she could hear him more clearly. "Ms. Nason, the driver will be here very soon. Let him send you to the office."
Willow felt a little less worried. She retrieved her phone to check the time. It was almost ten.
Since she was not familiar with this area, she wondered what time she would arrive at the office if she went out and took the public transport.
She could save a lot of time if she had a driver to send her to the office.
That would prevent Jasper from saying she was late.
Willow stood waiting for a while. Once the car pulled up next to her, she got in. She was soon on her way to Hughes Corporation.
In the CEO's office, Frank was there. He gave off an imposing aura while he sat sternly on a couch in the lounge.
Jasper sat across from him. He poured Frank a cup of tea.
"Your secretary sure knows how to put on airs. The CEO is already working, and she hasn't even shown up. You have to personally serve tea for your visitors." Frank glanced angrily at Jasper.
He was clearly saying that to insult Willow.
Naturally, Jasper figured out his intent. "This is a perk Hughes Corporation offers to its employees. It applies to anyone on sick leave."
"She's probably on sick leave every other day," Frank said in a sarcastic tone.
He picked up his cup and took a sip of tea before putting it down on the table again. "You bought Xavier's company just so you could reassign Willow as your secretary. Jaz, you always knew how to separate work and personal life in the past."
"The period of three months isn't up yet." Jasper put down the teapot and looked at Frank.
"Grandpa, I hope you haven't forgotten our verbal agreement," Jasper added.
Frank paused for a moment and inhaled deeply.
He made an agreement with Jasper to see for himself what kind of person Willow was for three months. If Willow turned out to be someone like Serene, Jasper would have to cut off all ties to her without hesitation.
If she was not, Frank would have to back off and not interfere with their relationship.
Frank had been keeping his end of the promise up until now.
However, after hearing what Xavier had to say yesterday, he was finding this a little too difficult.
Willow clearly had ulterior motives and was hardly a loyal person. She had too many tricks up her sleeves.
