Should she go back?
Thump thump thump!
Her heart almost jumped out of her chest.
At the thought of going back and seeing Sheldon naked without any clothes, she felt too ashamed.
Preslie covered her face with her hands.
Gosh, what was she going to do now?
Could someone tell her?
Meanwhile, Sheldon got out of the lift.
He was wearing his military uniform and even had his weapons.
He'd started to get worried after Preslie didn't pick up his call. He was worried that something bad would happen to Preslie, but who knew that he would spot her the moment he walked outside.
Preslie was sitting on the edge of the fountain, covering her face with her hands.
Sheldon was a little speechless.
He breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, she was fine.
Sheldon was just about to walk over when he suddenly thought of something and his face turned red.
He felt embarrassed and ashamed.
He didn't know how to face Preslie.
After standing rooted at the spot for ten minutes, Sheldon summoned up his courage and walked over.
After all, he was a rational grown man. He knew that even if it was awkward, it could not go on like this. The sky was getting dark, and it was not a good thing to just let things persist. He shamelessly pretended as if nothing had happened.
"Preslie," Sheldon walked up to her and called her.
His voice trembled a little.
He was nervous.
Preslie was startled by Sheldon's voice. She unfolded her arms and looked up. Sheldon was standing in front of her.
Dressed in his military uniform, he looked majestic and powerful.
This was a stark contrast to the way he'd worn nothing at home.
"Mr...Mr. Hawls," Preslie stammered.
Her voice wavered so much, it was as if the earth was shaking.
After that, she quickly lowered her head and her eyelids trembled heavily.
"I...I called you, and you didn't pick up," Sheldon said.
Preslie grabbed onto the edge of her clothes tightly and said, "I, I didn't hear your call."
She couldn't say that she had been embarrassed to pick up his call.
"Let's go back." Sheldon said, "It's late."
"Oh."
Preslie replied but did not stand up.
She was still embarrassed.
Whenever she thought of going home, Sheldon's naked appearance would fill her mind and make her dizzy. Her face went red and her heart raced. She was sweating profusely.
Her legs were so weak that she couldn't even stand up.
Sheldon couldn't help but feel anxious when he noticed that Preslie didn't look like she had the intention to stand up.
Sheldon knew what was going on judging from Preslie's expression. Preslie was embarrassed.
The guilt in his heart was getting stronger.
He was too careless. After all, she was still young. She must feel shy after seeing a naked man. It was normal if she didn't have the guts to go back.
Sheldon's guilt became more intense after following his train of thought.
Sheldon racked his brain to find a way to help Preslie go back with him.
After thinking for a long time, Sheldon suddenly asked, "Preslie, have you seen a poached chicken before?"
Preslie was surprised for a moment.
Why was Sheldon asking such a question now?
She immediately nodded.
