Initially, Sheldon thought that after he had reported the events to Tremaine, he would take his leave. However, he stopped and looked at Tremaine.
A flash of hesitation appeared in Tremaine's dark eyes. Then he asked, "How is she doing?"
He was clearly referring to Yesseca.
Sheldon said, "She is doing really good. I saw how ruddy Miss Cowell's face was, she was smiling too. She is happy!"
This was an exaggeration.
However, it did not look like Yesseca was in a bad state either.
"Is that so?" Tremaine murmured, "So long as she is happy."
After a pause, he said, "When she mentioned me... was she unhappy?"
Sheldon was shocked.
He could clearly feel the anxiousness in Tremaine's voice when he asked that question.
Sheldon could not help but feel a sharp pain in his heart.
He had always been a powerful and fearless individual! He was always so sure of himself.
However, now he could barely conceal the emotions on his face.
Mr. Tremaine should not be showing such emotions!
"Mr. Tremaine, she is happy!" Sheldon repeated, "When Preslie suspected that we're lying, it was Yesseca who convinced Preslie otherwise. She said that you weren't lying, because you valued your pride more than anything else!"
Sheldon initially did not want Tremaine to know about those words that were said about him.
However, he still did so at last.
He wanted to let Tremaine know that Yesseca did not hate him that much.
He too hoped that Tremaine would not show such cautious expressions whenever he was mentioning Yesseca.
Tremaine was somewhat stunned.
His dark eyes were filled with astonishment, "She really said that?"
Sheldon nodded.
Suddenly, a strange emotion flooded Tremaine's heart.
Yesseca actually said that.
