My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 123

Chapter 123

The current Bradley had no idea that Felix had already told him the truth so early on and that he missed the chance to confront it.

Peeling garlic required technique, but fortunately, Felix was gifted and could remember

anything after seeing it once. He earnestly battled with the garlic Esther had entrusted to him, peeling it until it was clean and beautiful.

“Mommy, I’ve peeled the garlic!” Felix held the peeled garlic in the kitchen and waited for Esther’s praise.

Esther looked at the well-peeled garlic and leaned down to plant a kiss on Felix’s little face. ” You’re amazing!”

Felix was elated by Esther’s praise and instantly asked, “Mommy, is there anything else I can do?”

“Of course!” Esther handed Felix a bunch of scallions.

Felix patted his chest and assured her. “Mommy, leave it to me!”

Felix went to seek assistance with the scallions while Esther continued to work methodically in the kitchen. She peeled and diced the tomatoes, beat the eggs, cooked them in a pan until fluffy, added the diced tomatoes, sautéing them until the tomato juice blended with the eggs, and finished with a pinch of salt for seasoning.

The broccoli was cut into small pieces, soaked in lightly salted water for a few minutes, boiled in hot water until cooked, and then mixed with minced garlic, salt, and sesame oil.

The mushroom and potatoes were placed in a pressure cooker to stew into a delicious soup.

The celery was cut into uniform strips, and stir-fried with marinated beef. The resulting beef dish featured vibrant colors with green celery and red and yellow bell

peppers.

As for the blanched shrimps, it was a simple dish, but Esther added her own touch to it.

“Mommy, Mommy, here are the scallions!” Felix came holding the scallions, and Esther reached out to embrace him, having him wash the scallions under the faucet. She then taught Felix how to chop the scallions.

“Mommy, how do we use these scallions?”

“Sprinkle some on the tomato and scrambled eggs.”

“Okay!” Felix imitated Esther’s technique-he sprinkled a handful of chopped scallions onto the tomato and scrambled eggs.

“Is it done?” asked Felix.

Esther replied, “Yes, our Felix’s fantastic. He can help Mommy with tasks now.”

Instead of feeling shy from Esther’s praise, Felix felt proud and said, “It’s because I am a little

man!”

“Then, little man, go tell Daddy to wash his hands and come eat.”
