Chapter 133
Bradley gazed into Esther’s eyes, which were as clear as a vast starry sky, shining and dazzling, captivating him irresistibly.
“I…” Bradley hesitated subconsciously upon hearing Esther’s question. After a moment, he answered slowly, “I will also stay here.”
“Really? Really? Really?” In disbelief, the adorable Felix repeated the question three times like a parrot when he heard that his father would also be staying here.
“Of course it’s true.” Esther reached out and held Felix’s little hand, tenderly saying, “Daddy never lies.”
“That’s great!” Felix bounced around Esther and Bradley joyfully like a woodland elf. “So, can we sleep together tonight? I really, really, really want to sleep in the middle of Daddy and Mommy!”
The children on TV all slept with their parents.
His father would also read him lovely bedtime stories. He was on cloud nine.
“Mommy! Mommy!” Felix happily bounced in front of Esther, tilting his small face, and asked in a cute voice, “Do you see bubbles on my head?”
“Huh?” Esther was momentarily puzzled by Felix’s train of thought and said, still a bit confused, “There are no bubbles!”
“Yes, there are.” Felix pointed to his hair, speaking nonsense seriously. “Look, aren’t there lots of happy bubbles popping out here?”
Esther could not help but laugh. “So, you’re bubbling with happiness?”
“Yes!” A smile of pure happiness spread across Felix’s little face.
His originally fair and slightly thin face was now chubby and cute. Not only that, but he also seemed like a stagnant pool that had been infused with vitality. It was as if he had come alive.
His bright and clear eyes were like the purest spring in the world, making one want to protect his innocence forever.
“Daddy, sit!” Felix pulled Bradley to sit on the sofa. He happily hopped to the fruit plate and skewered a round watermelon ball with a silver fruit fork, feeding it to Bradley’s mouth.
“Daddy, is it sweet?”
Bradley’s eyes were deep. “It is.”
Felix then skewered another round watermelon ball and fed it to Esther. “Mommy, have a sweet watermelon ball.”
Bradley noticed that Felix did not switch to a different fork but used the one he had just used. For some reason, the phrase “indirect kiss” flashed in his mind suddenly, and he felt his heart warm and fiery.
An inexplicable restlessness spread through his body as if every pore of his was dancing, desperately craving for more sweetness. Bradley clenched his fist against his lips and coughed
lightly.
Felix and Esther looked at Bradley as if asking, “What’s wrong? Are you sick?”
“Felix, can you watch TV by yourself?” asked Bradley.
