Chapter 134
IAt the beginning, when Thomas was setting up their new home, he intentionally prepared two children’s rooms alongside the master bedroom.
One room was adorned in a serene blue, resembling an underwater universe, while the other embraced a princess castle theme with shades of pink.
This was Thomas’ heartfelt desire-for Esther and Bradley to live harmoniously, raise their children, and enjoy a blissful life together.
As Bradley passed by the room adorned with the pink princess castle meant for a little girl, he instinctively glanced inside. Thoughts of Tinkerbell’s DNA paternity test surfaced, causing him a dull ache.
Tinkerbell was no longer present, but Pixie was still alive. Eventually, this pink princess castle would find its rightful owner.
Primus Mansion welcomed its young owner for the first time since its renovation. As Felix, the young owner, pushed open the bedroom door, he couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow! Daddy, Mommy, is this the room you prepared for me? I love it!”
Felix was like a happy little elf wandering around his room.
Tilting his head, Brendan gazed up at the sparkling stars and the vast universe above. Beneath his feet, the waves rolled, and the room walls were adorned with hand-painted whales and other sea creatures.
“Mommy, this is a starfish, this is a whale, this is a seashell…”
Felix was quite excited, and his face was filled with curiosity and exploration of the ocean of knowledge.
“You’re amazing. You’re right about all of them!” remarked Esther.
Felix patted his chest proudly and said, “Of course, I’m Daddy and Mommy’s son!”
There was no need for Bradley and Esther to personally sort out Felix’s daily necessities, but they saw it as a rare opportunity for parent-child bonding. They both had a tacit understanding and chose not to ask Melinda for help, as they enjoyed seeing Felix so happy.
No one had lived in this room before, and it had always been empty, although Clark had arranged for someone to come and clean it regularly.
As Felix’s belongings were placed in various places in the room, the empty room was instantly filled with a warm and homely atmosphere.
“Daddy, Mommy, will the lights on the ceiling all light up?” asked Felix.
“Yes, they will.” Esther took a remote control from the wall and handed it to Felix.
The boy happily played with his new toy, which featured the solar system’s planets. Each planet, including Earth, Mercury, and Jupiter, had lights proportional to their sizes. With a press of the remote control, the planets emitted their own unique light.
“Wow… I love it!”
Bradley looked at the joyful Felix and could not help but think of Thomas. If his grandfather were still alive, he would be delighted to see Felix loved the room he had decorated so well.
Suddenly, his gaze fell on Esther. She was wearing a white silk blouse with a dark green skirt underneath. She wore a pair of silk slippers, and her gentle eyes were smiling at Felix. This version of her could fulfill any man’s ultimate fantasy of a wife.
Bradley covered his slightly throbbing chest and walked to the floor to ceiling glass window to take a deep breath, forcing himself to push away this image of Esther from his mind.
