My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 160

Chapter 160

Bradley, who initially intended to work, lost interest and decided to nap instead. That night, he had a dream-a first for him.

In his dream, he found himself stumbling into a hotel room while drunk.

“Darling, you’re here…”

The dream’s details were fuzzy, and he couldn’t recall them clearly.

“Mommy! Mommy…”

Meanwhile, Esther was still immersed in a beautiful dream, vaguely reminiscent of that night in a hotel room five years ago.

Felix, an early riser, woke up and began softly calling out, “Mommy…”

“What’s the matter, baby?”

Esther, her sweet dream interrupted, showed no signs of annoyance as she looked at Felix’s innocent face. She reached out, pulled him into her embrace, and greeted him gently, “Good morning, Felix.”

“Good morning, Mommy.” Felix rubbed his little deflated belly and spoke in an adorable, childlike voice. Mommy, your son is hungry!”

Bradley instantly woke up from his slumber upon hearing Felix’s voice. He stared absentmindedly at Felix and Esther, feeling as if he were in a dream.

Had he truly dreamt last night? Did it actually happen? Or was it just a dream?

“Felix, shall we go make breakfast?”

“Okay!”

Esther coaxed Felix, saying, “How about you go to the bathroom and squeeze some toothpaste for Mommy? Can you do that?”

“Okay!” Felix darted into the bathroom.

Esther rose from her bed. She realized she was wearing pajamas and inquired, “Did you change my

clothes?”

“It wasn’t me,” Bradley quickly denied.

Esther simply responded with an “oh” and headed into the bathroom, where the sound of rushing water. soon filled the air.

Bradley casually picked up his phone, finding a slew of messages from Kevin.

Kevin: [Calling Bradley!]

Kevin: [??? No reply?]

Kevin: [It’s been two hours, and you still haven’t responded? Have you disappeared?]

Kevin, as talkative as ever, had bombarded him with messages.

Bradley sent a single reply.

Bradley: [It’s not what you think. I’ll explain when you return. Also, could you recommend a psychologist specializing in hypnosis? I want to uncover what exactly happened at the hotel five years ago.]
