In a cold and disrespectful tone that lacked the humility expected of a son-in-law toward his mother-in-law, Bradley addressed Leah, saying, “Please take care of Liliane, Mrs. Anstey.” 

He carried himself with an air of superiority, emitting a strange contradiction. 

The seamless progression of events made Leah’s temples throb uncontrollably. Suddenly, an important question struck her mind-had Esther and Bradley already divorced? 

“Mr. Warner, your divorce certificate…” 

A sinister glint quietly blossomed in Bradley’s eyes as he gazed at Leah, calmly stating, ” Esther has signed the divorce agreement, and the lawyers are handling the proceedings.” Liliane was also aware of Esther signing the divorce agreement. She held Leah’s hand and coquettishly remarked, “Mom, Brad doesn’t need to personally handle these matters. The lawyers will take care of it. Don’t you have confidence in the legal department of the Warner Group?” 

Leah’s remaining concerns dissipated as well. She looked at Bradley and casually responded, Mr. Warner, although the Ansteys may not be as wealthy as the Warners, we are not lacking. We will prepare a generous wedding gift for Liliane…” 

“No need for that.” Bradley’s deep gaze fixed upon Liliane’s delicate face, resembling a flower. “Bradley Warner’s wife won’t need to rely on her family’s wealth.”

Leah attempted to say something more, but Bradley glanced at his wristwatch and coldly interjected, “It’s getting late. Rest early. If you have any ideas, contact the wedding planning company directly. I have more than enough money, so there’s no need for you to save it on my behalf.” 

“Brad, let me see you off!” Liliane’s happiness overflowed like that of a little girl. At that moment, all her schemes and manipulations were forgotten. 

“Take care of yourself.” Bradley opened the door of the hospital room and calmly departed. 

Leah anxiously watched Bradley’s retreating figure and felt an inexplicable unease settling within her.

Liliane threw herself into her mother’s embrace, hugging her tightly, brimming with joy and happiness.
