My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 232

Chapter 232

Only someone audacious and fearless would dare to target Bradley like this! Those who laid a finger on his woman would pay the price!

“Look into it.”

The city was equipped with surveillance cameras, and many fugitives had been captured through the surveillance system.

Once they obtained the vehicle’s license plate number that took Esther and Felix, even if it was a fake plate, they could continuously track it through the surveillance system. They would find her, even if she went to a place without surveillance or a blind spot. They would search relentlessly, even if they had to dig three feet under!

“Mr. Warner, we’ve found the suspicious vehicle!”

The sound of a rushing wind filled Esther’s ears as she ran as fast as she could, not daring to look back.

She sprinted with such speed that she hardly felt the pain of glass shards piercing her feet.

Her only goal was to draw attention to herself, allowing Felix to escape to safety as quickly as possible.

Esther ran forward, but the waist-high wild grass slowed her down. In the distance, she spotted an abandoned telephone booth. After a moment of hesitation, she ran toward it.

Placing the black receiver to her ear, Esther was relieved to hear a dial tone. She dialed the emergency number and anxiously spoke. “Hello, is this the emergency hotline? My son and I have been kidnapped-”

Before she could finish her sentence, a firm hand grabbed her collar, dragging her out of the booth. Without a word, the person harshly slapped her across the face.

The brutal slap caused Esther’s check to swell instantly, and her mouth filled with the taste of blood as it flowed from her lips.

“You b*tch, try running! Let’s see where you can run to!”

The sound of crashing waves echoed in Esther’s ears.

White seagulls soared across the azure sky.

Esther tried to get up from the ground and continue her escape, but the ferocious man

forcefully grabbed her hair, dragging her toward the abandoned building.

The rough grass left numerous bloody scratches on Esther’s fair, porcelain skin.

All Esther hoped for was that Felix had managed to hide, even if he couldn’t escape. As long as

he could remain hidden, it would be enough.

Her Felix must not be captured! Her son must be safe and sound.
