Liliane couldn’t contain her joy upon hearing Billy’s words. Was it true? Was Shane her biological father? Did that mean she now had a father who would do anything for her? 

Previously, Liliane couldn’t comprehend how Leah had managed to sneak Felix out of such a heavily guarded place, but now she understood that it was Shane who had helped her. Of course! Shane was her biological father. Though they had never reunited, he had been silently watching over her all these years. 

Liliane finally understood why Leah had kept so many things from Billy back then. 

“Are you happy to hear that Shane is your biological father?” Billy asked with a dark tone. 

Liliane looked at Billy, tears welling up in her eyes, and replied, “Dad, I truly didn’t know he was my father! But don’t worry, even if Shane is my biological father, you will always be my dad.” 

Although Billy had no money, shares, or material possessions, Liliane still had to put on a show. He was easily manipulated, so she hoped to manipulate him to the point where he would bring Esther’s heart to her. Once she received Esther’s heart through a transplant, she could finally live a normal life. With such a useful tool, why wouldn’t she use it? 

Billy wasn’t completely naive, either. He had believed that Leah and Liliane were his family, and he didn’t think he needed to be guarded against them. But now, seeing Liliane calculating against him, just like Leah, he finally realized that his years of genuine affection had been in vain. 

“Liliane, I will take legal action to reclaim everything I gave you under the pretense of wedding gifts,” Billy declared. 

Liliane exclaimed, “Dad, what do you mean? You- 

“I will make a public statement and expose you and your mother’s schemes to the world,” Billy said, turning away and leaving. 

When he reached the door, he turned back to look at Liliane and said in a cold but gentle tone, “By the way, both Leah and Shane are going to prison. Good luck to you in the future!” 

After dropping this bombshell, Billy calmly left. 

Upon hearing that Shane and Leah were going to prison, Liliane couldn’t control her temper any longer. She grabbed objects around her and started smashing them on the ground. 

After dealing with Liliane regarding their final father-daughter relationship, Billy drove to Warner Manor. He parked his car before the gate but hesitated to get out. He didn’t know how to face Esther. 

He had known that Leah treated Esther poorly all these years, but he believed it unnecessary to hurt his wife and daughter for Esther’s sake. It wasn’t until Liliane’s true identity was exposed that he realized everything he had done before was a complete joke.
