Weakly, Esther sat inside the washroom with her hands covering her face as she wailed in 

agony. 

‘You were the one who handed him the knife, a knife that he took to hurt you on purpose! ‘Why? 

‘Why won’t you wake up after all this? 

‘What are you still hoping might happen? 

‘What are you still dreaming of happening? 

‘Wake up! 

‘He isn’t worthy of your love. 

‘He isn’t worthy of having children as cute as Felix and Pixie.’ 

Felix and Sunshine went upstairs to look for Esther. Felix saw Esther’s phone on the floor and picked it up. He looked around and said, “Mommy?” 

At that moment, Jasper sent a few WhatsApp messages. 

Jasper: [Esther, I just met up with Bradley and recorded our conversation. I’m sending it to you now.] 

Jasper: [It doesn’t matter if Bradley refuses to cooperate with you, Esther. I’ve given it some thought. I think you can carry on with your lawsuit against Bradley so long as we know where Pixie is.] 

Jasper: [While you’re working on your divorce, I’ll do my best to gain custody over Felix and Pixie. I’m sure the church won’t be able to cause you any more trouble if you’ve gotten their custody.] 

Felix then curiously opened the voice recording that Jasper had sent. 

“Felix, is that man your daddy?” Sunshine asked. 

He had told Sunshine a lot about Bradley when they were alone over the past few days. 

After listening to the voice recording, Felix looked at Sunshine with an ashen expression.” What do you think Daddy meant by that, Sunshine?”
