My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 396

Chapter 396

“Esther, you might have to come to work with me at the office.” Anna handed Esther her work. badge. “Welcome onboard.”

Esther cherished the work badge, and her eyes reddened as she looked at her name and position on it. She felt inexplicably moved.

“Anna, I have to go to the church tomorrow,” Esther said.

Anna put her arm around Esther’s shoulder and gazed affectionately at her. “I know. Tomorrow, we’ll go to the church first and then head to the office together after taking care of Pixie’s matters.”

“Okay.”

The next day, Esther woke up early. She tried on countless outfits in the wardrobe because today was the day she would meet Pixie. She hoped to leave a good impression on her precious daughter.

In the end, she chose a mild-colored dress and wore a windbreaker over it.

Anna took the test result from Esther and checked it carefully, noticing the official seal.

“Ms. Quill, I’m sorry, but this is what the DNA test shows. Pixie is not your biological daughter.

The result shocked Esther. She accessed another DNA test stored online and argued, “I’ve done a DNA test with Pixie’s twin sister, Tinkerbell. The result is here. Tinkerbell is undoubtedly my daughter. There’s no reason why Pixie wouldn’t be my daughter, too. They look exactly the same!”

“Ms. Quill, the result of the DNA test we have conducted is as it is. If you have doubts, we can

do another test.”

The result agitated Esther, and she lost her composure. She sternly questioned, “Are the

samples you provided even from Pixie? I don’t believe you unless you bring Pixie here and we do the test again.”

“Ms. Quill, according to the result, you are not Pixie’s biological mother. We will not fulfill your unreasonable request.”

The person in charge remained cold and distant.

Esther was furious. She insisted, “It’s impossible! Pixie is definitely my daughter. You must be
