Chapter 401
Benz didn’t offer false comfort to Esther. He took a sip of whisky and asked coldly, “If it were you, would you do it?”
Without hesitation, Esther replied, “I wouldn’t.”
As a mother, she couldn’t bring herself to be so cruel.
“No, you would,” Benz said with extreme indifference. He swirled the liquid in his glass as he continued, speaking like a philosopher who understood human nature. “Ms. Quill, everyone has their weaknesses, a dark side. When desire is magnified, you never know what terrible things you might do.”
He continued. “You can say that now simply because you haven’t faced such desperation. Imagine if your child becomes seriously ill one day, and someone offers to save your son for 15,000,000 dollars. Would you still refuse?”
Esther shook her head resolutely, her eyes shining with determination. Her words carried the power to touch hearts. “Benz, I wouldn’t. While my child is precious, other children are equally precious. I won’t trample on someone else’s life just for the sake of my child’s survival.
Anna and Benz were shocked by Esther’s response.
Benz took a long look at Esther, feeling a surge of passion in his heart.
“I know where they took Pixie. Shall we go and find her?” he asked.

After finishing his whisky, Benz’s gaze flickered slightly, but he spoke with unwavering determination. “Let’s go!”
Benz had been drinking, so Anna didn’t let him drive. Following the address he provided, they arrived at a church hospital.
Esther parked the car outside the hospital’s wall and looked at Anna with surprise. “Anna, isn’t this the same church hospital where Pixie lived before?”
“Yes, it is.” Benz took out his phone and searched for the name of the church hospital on a forum. He quickly browsed through the hospital’s most renowned departments and sneered.” Do you know what surgery this church hospital is famous for? Organ transplants.”
Anna chimed in when she heard Benz, confirming, “That’s right. This church hospital boasts an incredibly high success rate in organ transplants. Sunshine’s heart transplant was also performed here.”
Benz and Esther fixed their gaze on Anna, prompting her to explain quickly, “No need to misunderstand. Sunshine’s heart came from an organ donation. I spoke with the doctor, and they were required to keep the donor’s identity confidential. However, I gathered from their hints that it was another child’s donation.
“When I get the opportunity, I should try to find the donor family and inform them that their
