My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 42

Chapter 42

Cole was scared that Esther would die if it was a second too late. For some reason, he only had one thought in mind-Esther could not die. She must absolutely not die.

Back in the hospital ward, Bradley was enraged upon seeing the oxygen tube that had fallen off by the pillow. The b*tch Esther was back to her old tricks.

When Bradley was going to reattach the oxygen tube, Felix slowly opened his eyes and met Bradley’s furious ones.

The boy jolted and shrank in fear, stammering, “D-Daddy…”

When Liliane heard Felix’s voice, she threw herself hard at him and hugged him tightly. She buried her head into the blanket and sobbed. “Oh, thank goodness, thank goodness you’re alright, Felix…”

As Felix was tightly in Liliane’s embrace, her ruthless words echoed in his ears, and he could not help the goosebumps he got, shaking uncontrollably. He was terrified.

However, would his father believe him if he told him everything that had happened just now?

Felix was not sure and did not dare bet on it!

He thought of someone else-Grandpa Clark, who was with him growing up. Grandpa Clark had told him that he would believe everything he said.

“Mommy, I’m hungry…”

When Liliane heard Felix’s cute kittenish voice, she pulled back timely and said with feigned concern, “Our Felix’s hungry. Wait here. I’ll go get some chicken soup for you. It’s your grandmother’s

homemade chicken soup. It’s so delicious!”

“Thank you, Mommy, thank you, Grandma.:

Felix thanked her obediently with an innocent and naive, lovable expression.

Liliane tugged at his ear affectionately, seeming to be playing with him. However, she used a lot of force, and the boy’s ear turned red in an instant.

“As long as you’re safe and sound, we’re willing to do anything.”

Liliane retracted her hand just in time. When her gaze fell on Felix’s blood-red ear, she could not help but sneer. When would this annoying little brat completely disappear from her world?

Playing the best mother in the world every day was really exhausting!

“I’ll leave Felix to you, Brad.”

Liliane left the ward with slightly reddened eyes.

Felix grabbed Bradley’s finger and looked at him pitifully with his wet eyes. “Daddy, can I see the pretty woman who donated her bone marrow to me?”

“Felix.” Bradley’s attitude suddenly became firm. “No.”
