Hearing Bradley’s cruel words, Esther hung up in despair and promptly blocked his number. 

“Esther, what did he say?” Anna asked. 

Esther smiled bitterly and mockingly. Her voice was hoarse as she said, “He told me to kneel before him and beg.” 

At that moment, Esther steeled herself. She couldn’t help but ask herself again. How did she fall in love with Bradley when she was younger? Did his handsome face deceive her? Or was there something else about him that she had missed? 

“What are you going to do? Are you going to beg him?” Anna asked. 

Esther shook her head. She had pleaded and begged… In response, Bradley had imprisoned and tortured her. She wouldn’t stay powerless any longer. 

“I’m going to take legal action against the prison and Bradley,” she replied. 

Anna asked with concern, “Esther, have you really thought this through? If you really take Bradley to court…” 

“I have to find out where my daughter is.” Esther suddenly turned to hug Anna tightly. “Anna, thank you for all the help you’ve given me during this time. I’m taking Felix back to the country.” 

“But what if Bradley imprisons you again when you return?” 

Anna could not bear to think about it. If Bradley imprisoned Esther again, would she be able to escape again? Obviously, she would not be able to this time. 

“I’m not alone now. I have Felix, I have the Quills-I need to learn to rely on my family.” Esther forced a smile. “But I’ll still entrust Benz to help Pixie escape from her current adoptive parents as much as possible. I’m afraid they’ll make Pixie undergo surgery again in the guise of guardianship.” 

Anna reminded her, “Esther, Pixie won’t understand and might even resent you.” 

“I know. I just want to have a clear conscience. Once Pixie reaches 18 and can decide for herself, it’ll be up to her to choose whether she wants to donate her organs. But until then, I can’t allow her to lose her organs, even if it means helping others.” 

“Esther, your kindness will bring you good luck.” 

After leaving the hospital, Esther and Anna headed to Benz’s detective agency. Esther signed an agreement with Benz, hoping he could help Pixie. 

Seeing Esther earnestly sign the document, Benz pondered for a moment before saying, ” Esther, regarding this organ trafficking case, it might eventually come to nothing.”
