Chapter 505
“Kevin, this doesn’t concern you,” Bradley replied, his tone icy and lips barely parting. “If you’re here to taunt me, please leave.”
Kevin grabbed his phone, opened a photo, and placed it in front of Bradley. “Now that Esther has found happiness, can’t we be men and genuinely wish her well?”
Bradley’s grip tightened on his coffee cup, causing coffee to spill from it and splatter onto the ground.
“Wish her well? Does she even deserve it?”
“Bradley, why the patronizing attitude? Why wouldn’t Esther deserve your good wishes?” Kevin’s voice rose in response to Bradley’s words. “You condemned her to five years in prison based on fake evidence, only to now realize the falsehood of the proof you provided back then!
Bradley’s icy gaze settled on Kevin’s enraged face. “Kevin, who told you Esther is innocent? That the previous video was fake? That the one she presented is authentic?”
Kevin’s laughter echoed. His voice seethed with fury as he replied, “So, you’re suggesting it doesn’t matter whether Esther did it or not? It only matters as long as you believe she did? What’s going through your mind? Why do you persist in labeling your son’s mother a murderer? What good does it do you?”
“Kevin, shut up.” Bradley’s expression oozed arrogance.
She
Kevin shot back, “Why should I? Bradley, it’s you who owes Esther, not the other way around! gave birth to Felix and twin daughters for you. Don’t you think you owe her? She loved you wholeheartedly, and all she got were scars and pain.
“If you had any conscience, you wouldn’t keep oppressing her with your stubbornness and domineering attitude. She isn’t your enemy, nor is she your possession. She’s her own person.
Kevin’s words felt like a dagger, piercing Bradley’s heart. “Get lost!”
“Bradley, look at yourself! What are you achieving here? Threatening Esther? Have you even considered Felix’s feelings? Do you want him to bear this burden at such a young age? Aren’t you worried about him being traumatized?”
The sky grew darker, and street lights flickered to life, casting their glow over the city. Bradley found himself bathed in their melancholic brilliance.
Kevin took a deep breath, speaking earnestly. “Bradley, if you no longer love Esther, why not. set her free? It could be your liberation, too.”
“Love?” Bradley’s eyes showed confusion.
Noticing Bradley’s vulnerable expression, Kevin asked, “Bradley, have you realized you’ve fallen in love with Esther?”
“Kevin, are you serious?” Bradley retorted. “Even if all women vanished, I’d never love Esther!
In frustration, Kevin ran his hand through his hair, saying casually, “Well, there you have it.
No love between you two. You can return to being strangers.”
