Chapter 619
Esther gazed at Bradley in disbelief, her pale lips quivering as tears welled up in her eyes.
With a look of disgust, Chadwick taunted, “What’s wrong, Esther? Can’t handle seeing Bradley marry my sister?”
“Pendleton, Mandy saved my life by donating her liver. I owe her that,” Bradley retorted with a smirk.
Chadwick pushed Esther toward Bradley, asking, “And what about her?”
Bradley showed no warmth and responded indifferently. “You don’t know the whole story. I married her because of my grandfather. If you want to marry her, consider it her good fortune.”
“Warner, have you never loved Esther?” Chadwick inquired.
Bradley’s demeanor cooled as he looked at Esther. “I swear to God, I’ve never loved Esther.”
Unable to bear Bradley’s hurtful words, Esther stepped back, ignored Chadwick and the others, and hastily left the room.
Witnessing Esther’s departure due to Bradley’s words, Chadwick felt a renewed determination to make her his.
“Whether Mandy agrees to marry you depends on your sincerity,” Chadwick asserted.
Bradley remained calm and suggested, “How about a double wedding, Pendleton? You marry Esther, and I marry Mandy?”
Chadwick chuckled heartily, “Great idea! Maybe you should move to the neighboring hospital for a more convenient pursuit of Mandy.”
“I’ll consider it,” Bradley replied.
Chadwick left the room in high spirits, humming a tune.
Bradley stared at the wedding details on his invitation with clenched fists, seething with killing intent.
Jasper observed Bradley’s angered state and quietly exited the room with Jordyn.
“Thank you for your assistance earlier,” Jasper expressed his gratitude once they were out of earshot.
Jordyn wore a polite smile. “Mr. Searle, should you ever need my help, I can be there anytime.”
Jasper’s gaze remained in the direction Esther had gone, his voice heavy. “You needn’t trouble yourself with me. There has always been only one person in my heart-Esther.”
Jordyn smiled and replied, “I understand your feelings. My pursuit of you is my own affair. You don’t need to reciprocate.”
