My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 636

Maybe marrying Mandy could finally grant her the freedom she longed for. Grateful for Mandy's liver donation that saved his life, Bradley wanted to offer her a chance at a better life.

"Mr. Warner, I'll remember your words, and so will Mandy," Selene said indifferently. "Mandy, if he ever falters in his commitment after marriage, you don't need to endure it. We won't trade our daughter for wealth, even in tough times."

Mandy smiled gently and replied, "Mother, I won't shame the Pendletons."

Shelly hesitated before speaking as she glanced at Selene.

Selene asked, "What is it?"

"Madam, Master Chadwick mentioned he has plans for the evening and won't be back for dinner."

Selene saw nothing unusual and replied, "Then tell the chef to prepare the meal."

Four unrelated individuals sat at a large round table in the Pendletons' dining room. The spacious table seemed quite empty with only four people—there was space for four or five more between each of them.

Esther quietly ate her meal.

Unlike Esther, who tried to blend in, Bradley occasionally showed his affection for Mandy through small gestures.

Selene remained silent during the meal, focusing solely on her food. Esther observed Selene through a bouquet of flowers and mimicked her behavior, determined not to be influenced by Bradley and Mandy, and thoroughly enjoyed her meal.

After finishing the meal, Mandy suggested, "Mother, we'll be leaving now. Can we visit you tomorrow?"

Out of politeness, Selene asked, "It's late. Why don't you stay?"

Seemingly oblivious to Selene's politeness, Bradley smiled and replied, "Then we'll gladly accept your offer!"
