Chapter 81 

Some of the scars on Esther’s body had been caused by burning cigarette butts, while nail scratches 

had inflicted others. 

Esther had only spent five years in prison, so why did her body bear so many wounds? These old scars deeply pained Bradley’s eyes. 

He extended a finger and gently ran it along the cesarean section scar on Esther’s abdomen. It reminded him of the past when she was delicate, like a princess. Even a minor scrape on her arm would make her teary-eyed. 

An inexplicable sense of anger surged in Bradley’s heart, and he could not bear to look at the cesarean section scar for a second time. He pulled the blanket over Esther’s body, covering her completely. 

“Esther, who did this to you?” Bradley asked in a pained voice, but there was still no response. 

Bradley stood silently at the end of the hospital bed, watching her sleep. After who knew how long, he finally turned and left. 

The caregiver stood timidly outside the ward, secretly thinking that Bradley was too moody. Compared to him, Jasper was much more of a gentleman.. 

If she were Esther, she would also choose the gentle and considerate Jasper. She would not be so foolish as to choose Bradley! 

Bradley returned to Felix’s hospital room. When the boy saw his gloomy expression, he softly asked, ” Daddy, are you unhappy?” 

“No.” Bradley walked up to Felix, picked him up without asking for his opinion, and carried him into Esther’s room. “If you’re bored, you can talk to her.” 

Bradley thought that Tink erbell’s death was the final straw that crushed Esther. If Felix could wake her up, he would learn how she carried his children. He would also understand why Esther, who had only spent five years in prison, was so battered. 

“Really?” Felix’s eyes were filled with excitement. 

Bradley nodded gently. 

Felix hugged Bradley, thrilled, and gave him a peck on his gloomy face. “Thank you, Daddy.” 

Bradley looked at the delighted Felix and asked, “Why do you like her so much?” 

How could Felix like the malicious Esther? 

Felix would keep his promise to Clark and would resolutely not tell Bradley that Esther was his biological mother until the investigation results were out. 

“Daddy, she gave me life!” Felix chose a vague reply. He believed that his smart father would. eventually uncover the secret. 

“Felix, the one who gave you life is Liliane,” said Bradley. 

Upon hearing that, Felix clenched his small fists in anger and pouted. “Daddy, you’re so silly!”
