My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82

“Mommy, don’t leave me! Daddy’s going to marry a stepmother, and she’ll mistreat me!

“Woo! A child with a mother is loved, but a child without a mother is like a stray. Felix doesn’t want to

be a stray…

Watching Felix’s dramatic performance, Bradley could not help but palm his forehead. He should not let the boy watch those messy, melodramatic TV series in the future.

As if truly hearing Felix’s plea, Esther’s fingers moved ever so slightly!

With tear-filled eyes, Felix looked at Esther in excitement and shouted, “Daddy! Mommy’s finger

moved!”

Upon hearing that, Bradley’s sharp gaze involuntarily fell on Esther’s fingers.

Esther’s fingers had indeed made a tiny movement.

“Daddy, Mommy really moved!” Felix exclaimed in excitement, “Daddy, call the doctor quickly!”

Bradley pressed the call button.

In less than a minute, the doctor arrived swiftly.

Bradley explained what he had just discovered to the doctor, who then carefully examined Esther before calmly speaking. “Mr. Bradley, Mr. Felix, if Ms. Quill’s finger really moved, it means she’s responding to the outside world.”

Felix eagerly asked, “Doctor, does that mean she’ll wake up if I keep calling her?”

“Yes, Mr. Felix.”

With joy in his eyes, Felix looked at Esther on the hospital bed, and tears of excitement slowly rolled down his porcelain-like cheeks.

“Daddy, did you hear that?”

Bradley thought Esther would wake up, but it turned out to be just an illusion. “I heard.”

Felix clenched his small fists and said energetically, “I’ll try my best!”

After the doctor left the hospital ward, Felix once again leaned on Esther, continuing to play the pitiful card.

“Mommy, I’m so miserable! Now that there’s a stepmother, there will be a stepfather too!

“Mommy, Felix misses you so much. I want to hug you!

“Mommy, woo! Please wake up!

“Mommy, I’m a little man, and I’ll protect you in the future!”

Felix kept calling out to Esther, trying to awaken her lost will to survive.

With each call, he would say “Mommy” before it, which made the caregivers outside the door feel extremely sentimental.

“Daddy, why isn’t Mommy waking up?” Felix really wanted Esther to wake up.
