My Invincible Husband Has Returned novel Chapter 147

Meanwhile, at the Stone family's house.

Cheryl, her face marred by bruises, cried in Yafe's study. "Dad, Liam has gone too far! Look what he did to my face, how badly he's hurt me! I won't just let this slide, and as for Celena..."

Yafe's face darkened with fury as he threw the cup across the room, his voice thundering, "Liam has crossed the line, living under our roof and attacking you repeatedly! He shows no respect, Cheryl, come with me. We're going to see Mr. Stone. I can't believe he'd dare to act like this on our turf!"

Cheryl hurried after him, worried, lacing her voice, "Dad, what about the deal? What do we do? Are we going to just roll over and let Celena have it?"

With a distant smirk, Yafe replied, "Don't worry, I've got a plan up my sleeve."

Let Celena take over? Not a chance. Even though she was his flesh and blood, Yafe never saw eye to eye with her. And with Liam in the picture, they would be left with nothing if she took control.

They couldn't let Celena anywhere near that deal.

Before long, Yafe marched into Mr. Stone's yard, Cheryl in tow, her face bruised and untreated—a deliberate choice.

Yafe saw his chance as his father's temper flared and quickly piled on. "Exactly, Dad. Think about it. If we let Celena take over this deal, she'll get too much power in the company. Next thing you know, Liam will use it to take over our company. We'd be... Dad, you need to consider this carefully!"

Mr. Stone's thoughts raced, and Yafe's words struck a chord. He shot up from his seat, his voice cutting through the air like ice. "Liam thinks he can get the upper hand over the Stone family? He's not even close to ready for that. Come on, we're going to Celena's right now to set this straight!"

Mr. Stone stormed off, fuming with anger, with Yafe and Cheryl in tow, heading straight for the quaint courtyard where Celena and Liam were.

Liam just took Jovie out to grab some snacks, leaving Celena by herself to sort through papers and tweak her project plans.
